The Transformative Ritual of the Bath

There is something transformative in the ritual of filling up a tub with hot water and pouring in some bath salts.

I became obsessed with taking baths on my first trip to Singapore. I was fortunate enough to stay at a beautiful hotel, and the bathtub in my room sat in front of a large window that overlooked Marina Bay and the city. It was a relaxing way to unwind after a day of meetings.

Now, 20 years later, I continue this soothing ritual. To me, there is nothing more soul nourishing than taking a bath at the end of a long day. And, I'm not alone. For centuries, the bathing tradition has been sacrosanct in so many cultures around the world: Morocco, Turkey, Japan, Iceland, Russia, Norway—to name just a few.

I want to introduce Birchrose + Co., a new line of handmade organic and eco-friendly wellness and beauty products available on CURIO SHOP.

Lately, I have been adding the Coconut + Hibiscus bath soaks to my tub and using the Radiance Mask with Rose Kaolin and Papaya while I soak. I hope you enjoy this ritual as much as I do!
